About Title IX
We Care, We Will Help.
Welcome to Sacramento State’s “We Care. We Will Help.” website. We are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable setting for work and study. Sexual misconduct and other sex-based offenses are serious transgressions that violate fundamental rights and personal dignity. We offer support and reporting options. Even if you haven’t experienced such violations personally, you can help. Please protect our community by reporting any information about these incidents to the Office for Equal Opportunity (OEO) and by encouraging anyone who discloses to utilize the numerous available resources.
What is Title IX?
Title IX is a federal law that requires educational institutions receiving funds to address discrimination and harassment based on sex. This law factors into Sacramento State’s policies on investigating and providing resources for anyone who has experienced sexual exploitation, sexual misconduct (including sexual battery and rape), dating or domestic violence, and stalking.
